Aim
Help re-elect Stewart as the SNP MP in the Glasgow South constituency.
Since being elected in 2015 Stewart has championed the Southside in Parliament and has been a very active MP across the constituency.
Brexit is the defining issue of this election. In this constituency voters backed remaining in the EU by a huge 75%. Boris Johnson’s latest deal is even worse than Theresa May’s and leaves Scotland at a unique disadvantage. It’s vital to elect as many SNP MPs as possible so that we can show Boris Johnson that Scotland’s place in Europe must be protected, and that it’s for Scotland to choose its own future not the Westminster Tories.
In Parliament, having been appointed SNP Spokesperson for Defence in 2017, Stewart has called on the UK Government to improve service personnel pay and conditions, give greater consideration human rights and against arms sales to brutal regimes. Stewart has also spent his time championing many other issues such as the campaign to ban unpaid work trials across the country, working with constituents affected by universal credit and against Tory austerity.
