Firstly thankyou for taking the time to visit our page!
Due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the UK. Many football teams have faced difficult Financial Times along with the amount of work that the hospitals are having to deal with at present and it’s a credit to them that we are being kept safe!
In making this page Myself and Kieran Conway along with hopefully a few others are planning to run from Taunton in Somerset to Huish Park (which is roughly around 27 miles so the equivalent to a marathon) for the first game back in which supporters are allowed into stadiums.
We have chosen these 3 charities because without donations through these tough times we might not have a football club and to be able to support the Yeovil hospital and raise money for such a credible cause such as them after all their hard work through this pandemic.
The Adam Stansfield foundation is a charity very close to many Yeovil Town, Exeter City and Hereford fans after the loveable striker who was sadly only 31 at the time, passed away from Bowel cancer back in 2010 and its work in offering children football in Devon, Somerset and Herefordshire aswell as increasing opportunities for disabled people to take part in sport along with raising awareness of bowel cancer.
Kieran Conway the founder of this idea had this to say “ Because the main crowdfunding page for Yeovil football club has now finished , we still wanted to play our part in helping the club out in there time of need and Yeovil hospital as it played a massive part of my grandads end of life care a few years ago and also would like to Help Kevin Gall out with his Ytfc legends game where all the the money donated to that will be going to the adam stansfield foundation so 3 worthy causes to donate to and run 27 miles for ????????“
Whilst Ryan Lancaster who has also agreed to do the run with him said the following statement “ Im delighted to be raising money for 3 worthwhile charity’s and be able to help out in a small way! Im always up for a challenge and this is going to be the biggest one yet so to raise money for these charities was a no brainer! Yeovil HospItal and The Adam Stansfield foundation work wonders every day to make a difference and help people and I wanted to do my bit to show my appreciation for them! Yeovil Town FC has been my boyhood club growing up and to be able to support it through this tough time was again something I couldn’t turn down, Fitness wise I know it’s going to be tough but I’m more than ready to this and raise as much money as possible!????”
