Aim
Following the success of our Proms Flags crowdfunder, we are now accepting ongoing donations of support.
During our original crowdfunding campaign, we successfully raised £1,252 thanks to 56 wonderful supporters. We are now continuing to accept donations to support our next Flag Mafia project. Find out more about our original plans below.
We did it, we raised £3,132 on our previous crowdfunder and have now purchased 20,000 EU flags to give out on the Last Night of the BBC Proms. All of our money went into the flags. We have doubled our flag count every year. This is certainly the biggest ever give away of crowdfunded EU flags..
There are some additional things we want to do to make the event even better so want to raise a little bit more money:
- We want all our volunteers to be wearing our t-shirts
- We want all our volunteers to have a branded bag to carry the flags
- We want to hand out a leaflet with each flag
- We want street musicians to entertain people going into the hall with performances of Ode to Joy
- We want to buy a gift for orchestra from EU Flag Mafia.
- We want to buy a gift for the European Youth Orchestra
- We have other ideas but can't mention them here...
This year we want to cover Hyde Park and the Hall. We also need at least 50 volunteers to come and give out our flags.
