About Us
Hello! We are, Jess and Bethia, the co-founders of Planet & People CIC. We need your help to inspire kids to LOVE the Earth through environmental education workshops.
We are a teacher and environmentalist team who have used the past year proactively to develop our ideas for environmental education and inspire future generations to live more lightly and make changes for a better, greener Earth.
We are the creators of the Planet Action Kit, an eco-activity subscription box which encourages children to LOVE the Earth. We provide workshops to accompany this and cover a range of environmental themes such as:
- 'Seed to Spoon' - good food and where it comes from.
- 'Reduce Waste' - sustainability in the home.
- 'Speak Up' - youth impact on environmental change
Together we can make a difference. Let us tell you how!
Planet Action Kit and accompanying eco-workshops are part of the solution. We have a simple message - LOVE the Earth! It's a message that needs to be heard far and wide. To reach a diverse audience it is important that our workshops our accessible. We are keen to remove any barriers stopping our message from being heard. Making the workshops affordable is an easy way of doing this! We would really appreciate your support in raising the funds to offer our workshops at a heavily discounted rate.
How you can help
Make a donation through our Crowdfunder page! This will help us to provide eco workshops to all at an affordable and accessible rate.

We will win match funding from the Devon County Council/Crowdfunder partnership if we reach our target of £1000 from 30 or more people - you can help make this happen!
Are you good at organising events? Perhaps you can host a cake sale and donate the proceeds? How about that fitness challenge you’ve been building up to? Or your very own eco challenge (carbon cutting, waste reduction, wilding etc)?

What is unique about Planet & People CIC?
We are a registered Community Interest Company providing environmental education for all. We have a holistic approach to climate change and the environmental crisis and encourage a balanced perspective covering a wide spectrum of environmental topics.
What have we learned?
Through months of exploration, research and flexibility, we have adapted our product and workshops and are ready to take Planet & People to the next level! We have leant that:
- Children are capable and enthusiastic and can explore complex environmental themes.
- Positivity and proactivity is the approach that triggers the most engagement.
- Parents like to learn about the environment too.
- Half-day accompanied workshops are the best format for the home-education community and school pupils.
- People like what we do and there is scope for this model to rolled out more widely across the UK.
The Future at Planet & People CIC
In response to the increasing effects of the climate and ecological emergency, we all need to create a greener, more sustainable future for the planet. We believe that we have a responsibility to act now and support the next generation to play a significant part in delivering a unified effort to live more lightly and look after the natural world.
