Provide a safe space within our trampoline park for vulnerable local youths to keep active and work on life skills with qualified mentors
A Safer, More Inspiring Summer for Newham Youths
We’re calling on Stratford businesses, partners, stakeholders and local organisations to help us raise funds for a summer mentoring program of activities for local youths. Come along and have fun with team bonding events and dodgeball at ZAPspace and do something positive for the community. Join in our 4-week Wednesday evening dodgeball tournament starting on the 10th July for teams of 4 people. Each team will help fund place for an 11-15-year-old to spend a week of active fun with mentoring this summer at our trampoline park. If you would like to help more than one child, the rewards will be even greater with private hire for team building and networking events. Your team will have loads of fun bouncing around and releasing stress-busting endorphins while doing something great for the community.
A Safe Place this Summer
There are very few youth clubs in Stratford. While the influx of investment in business has increased the affluence of the area, Stratford teens often feel left behind. Summer is a particularly dangerous time of year with a lot of free time, nothing to do and nowhere to go. With this crowdfunder, we would like to provide spaces for young people to take part in a week of fun and insightful activities within our trampoline park. Teens already love coming to our trampoline park and it's a great way to keep active and release mood-boosting endorphins regardless of your fitness level or ability.
We have two qualified Citizens Service mentors on staff who understand many of the issues faced by local teens and the seemingly bleak outlook many look forward to. They are passionate about helping young people to see a better future and raising their awareness of potential pitfalls that could lead them into danger.
We’re partnering with Stratford Original and the Met Police and other community groups such as Citizens UK to ensure we deliver a project that will have a positive and long-term impact on the greater community.
Vulnerable Newham teens need all of us to help them see a brighter future. Come along for some team bonding fun and help us give our young people a brighter future in Stratford.
