At YSS (Your Support Services), we are dedicated to empowering individuals—children, adults, and families—to overcome life’s challenges, unlock their potential, and achieve lasting change. We believe every person, regardless of age or circumstance, deserves access to compassionate, tailored support that promotes growth, resilience, and well-being.

Who We Are

YSS is a community-centred organization working across generations to bring holistic care and practical solutions to those in need. Our team comprises experienced professionals, advocates, and volunteers united by a passion for creating positive and sustainable change.

Our Story

Founded in 1986, YSS was created to address the growing and diverse needs of communities facing barriers to success. From the beginning, we recognized that challenges faced by children are deeply linked to the struggles of their families. This understanding inspired our holistic approach—working with individuals of all ages to break cycles of hardship and build strong, self-sustaining communities.

Our Impact

Life can be unpredictable, and unforeseen circumstances often leave people vulnerable. Here’s what we achieved in 2024 alone:

• 1,684 individuals supported, including young carers, women, military veterans, families of those in prison, and people on probation or in prison.
• Over 1,200 individuals assisted in finding or maintaining stable accommodation.
• Through our Targeted Early Help service, we supported 844 families and 2,078 children over five years, with 72% of cases closing successfully and achieving all outcomes.
• Through our Youth Justice and Road Safety programs, we helped adults and young people develop responsibility, improve decision-making, and stay safe on the road, reducing the likelihood of accidents and future offences.

These numbers represent real lives transformed—families who’ve found hope, children who’ve regained confidence, and adults who’ve rediscovered their purpose.
