Olympic Legacy Fund has provided £32,500 of match funding
To install new energy-efficient LED floodlights so young people and the community can train safely, sustainably, and all year round.
Who are we?
Youth Sport Omagh is a volunteer-led, community-focused organisation dedicated to providing high-quality sports, health, and wellbeing opportunities for young people and families across Omagh.
Our facilities support multiple clubs, schools, and community groups, offering safe, accessible, and affordable spaces for sport, physical activity, and community development.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding to install new, energy-efficient LED floodlights across our pitches, running track, and community spaces.
This upgrade is essential to ensure our young people can train and play safely, sustainably, and all year round, especially during dark evenings and winter months.
We are applying to the Sport NI Olympic Legacy Fund, which supports projects that expand participation, improve accessibility, and enhance sports facilities for future generations.
Our project directly aligns with these aims by:
Increasing access to sport and physical activity
Removing barriers linked to limited daylight
Improving safety and wellbeing
Reducing energy use through sustainable LED lighting
Supporting long-term community development
Crowdfunding allows us to demonstrate strong community backing, an important requirement for additional funding.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Every donation will go directly toward lighting equipment, installation, and electrical works.
Your support helps us deliver a brighter, safer, and more sustainable facility.
