Aim
Hello everyone, My name is Kirsty Downie and I'm a supporter/member of Your Party – the new political movement led by Jeremy Corbyn.
Here in Salford, we're getting organised to build a strong local branch. We want to be a voice for working-class communities, trade unionists, peace campaigners, and everyone who's fed up with inequality, war, privatisation, and the cost-of-living crisis.
Why we need your help right now:
Your Party is a grassroots, member-led party built from the ground up – not bankrolled by big donors. The Salford branch is just starting out, and we need funds to hit the ground running:

Any amount – even £5 or £10 – makes a huge difference when many people chip in. All funds will go directly to building the Salford branch's activity under Your Party's democratic structures.
What we're fighting for in Salford & beyond:
- An end to austerity and the cost-of-living nightmare
- Public ownership of utilities, rail, mail, and energy
- Real action on the climate emergency and a just transition for workers
- Peace and justice in foreign policy – no more wars, no more arms sales
- Solidarity with striking workers, anti-racism work, and defending our communities

We'll share regular updates (photos of events, receipts where appropriate, number of new members recruited) with donors and the wider Your Party community. We're fully committed to the party's principles of openness and accountability.
