“It means to be part of a group where we all give something, where we can make a difference in the world” Mario 20
What we do
The Complete Freedom of Truth is an inclusive programme with young people which uses arts and cultural activities to develop confidence and creativity for life and work, learn about other cultures and youth leadership.
Forum Theatre and Food at the Youth Centre, Bridport 2017
What are the opportunities?
To become part of a growing UK and European Network of over 600 young people with opportunities for learning, travel and to develop their own skills and voice.
To build a personal portfolio to help with further education and employment.
To develop empathy and tolerance of the other and to understand that empowerment comes from kindness.
“The importance of TCFT is about giving us - the youth - opportunities to approach the change we want to see in the world and acting upon it with our own creative output. And in the end, what most impressed me was kindness' liberating effect on everyone’s development. It teaches us all that from kindness comes empowerment to serve, and that in our service to others we attain the highest form of happiness.” Sara 24
Bridport half term residency Feb 2018
How we do it
The TCFT residencies, be they several days or weeks, have a carefully structured programme that creates an environment that is inclusive and equal, where relationships are fostered through professional artist led teaching that encourages the development of the individual’s confidence and creativity.
Two weeks at Bournemouth University exploring Truth through the arts August 2016
How they do it
A young person can explore their ideas or concerns through an art form, a song, a poem, a dance, learning to express themselves emotionally and/or physically, singly or as part of a team.
We want to raise funding to support young people who might not be able to afford to take part otherwise and to be able to cover fully the costs for assistants and professional carers for those with disabilities.

•Provide organisational support for Opera Circus to create and manage these opportunities to the highest possible standards.

“Projects like TCFT are rare, it takes everyone to a place that is slightly outside the comfort zone and we are experiencing it all with people we don’t meet in our ordinary lives, it stretches us in a great way, we are more curious and we learn more.
Often disabled people and non disabled people don’t get to share important experiences like travelling together because we are taught through experience that we have to live separate lives; separate schools, separate seats in the theatre, separate train carriages… This project has given back to us the lost time and it allows us to re-evaluate how we want the world to look and how we engage with people in our local communities”
