Young Girls Asylum Seeker and Refugee Football

Aim

We aim to create community and joy by starting Brighton & Hove's first football team for young female asylum seekers and refugees.

Who are we?

We are Value Your Development (VYD) and we use the power of football to create community spaces in East Sussex for disadvantaged and displaced communities. 

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are raising money so we can launch a new Women's Team. We have a waitlist of over 10 young asylum seekers and refugees who want to start a team. This comes at a cost of pitch hire, hiring the right coaches and outreach.

Enjoolata has promised to matchfund £1,500!! So every £1 you donate is worth double.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money will be spent on hiring a pitch for us to play on, a new coach and equipment for the team.

Community impact

Football creates community and we aim to do the same here. Not only will we be starting a new team but VYD has a strong focus on youth leadership and will offer voluntary and paid opportunities within the world of football to willing participants.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
