Barking Enterprise Centre CIC would like to develop a network which supports people aged 16-28 to be part of a Young Entrepreneurs Network.
The growth of tech based business has grown exponentially in London, however in Barking and Dagenham and the surrounding East London areas this pace of change is not as transformative.
The BEC would like to develop a Young Entrepreneurs Network which will provide additional support in nurturing and expanding the business potential of young people.
We see the network as an opportunity to provide businesses and entrepreneurs with the following:
Access to other young business owners/entrepreneurs
A training programme of business support, business planning, cash flow forecasts, vision planning, marketing and branding
Access to Business Mentors on a 1 to 1 basis through our existing network of mentors (which is funded by the BEC)
Networking events
Quarterly skills exchange events (whereby mutual skills are traded using BEC currency.
Who will be eligible?
Any young person between the ages of 16 and 28 who either live in Barking and Dagenham or whose business does/wants to have a connection with the borough. To be part of the network they will need to be either pre start up/ or in the start up phase but will be supported by a steering group of more established young people already doing business in the borough.
This project successfully funded on 12th October 2017
