To help young people save energy and money, build life skills, and share climate messages with peers through digital media.
Who are we, and what is our project about?
We are Element Society, a team that empowers young people to lead change in their communities. Our project, Young Climate Ambassadors, is youth-led. Young people tell us what matters to them, and we support them to take action. They will run workshops, create podcasts, TikTok and YouTube Shorts, and share practical tips on saving energy, reducing costs, and tackling climate change, inspiring their peers along the way.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding to give young people the resources, training, and tools they need to lead this project themselves, from running workshops to creating podcasts and social media content, so they can inspire their peers and make a real impact on climate action and energy savings.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We are seeking £5,000, which will go directly into supporting young people to lead this project. The funds will cover staff time to deliver a series of 15 training and mentoring sessions, equipment for podcasts and video creation, and specialist support where needed. We’ll also use the money for snacks and refreshments, bus fares to help young people attend, and a contribution to room hire for workshops and sessions. This ensures young people can fully take part, learn, and lead the project themselves.
How you can help
There are three simple ways to get involved and support our project:
1. Make a donation
Every pledge gets us closer to our goal. Early support can help build momentum and inspire others to give too.
2. Spread the word
Share our project with friends, family and your wider network. The more people we reach, the more likely we are to succeed.
3. Volunteer with us
If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch through the ‘Contact’ section using the subject "I want to volunteer my time or expertise" on our project page.
