I am raising money for NEL Juniors to build them a home for community use, in memory of my beautiful boy Max Kuc
In December 2025, my courageous boy, Max Kuc suddenly passed away aged 6. Max bravely fought, and beat Cancer, following a diagnosis aged 1 that resulted in a liver transplant soon after. Max went on to battle through Chemo, and lived his life full of joy and happiness.
Max was truly special. His energy and personality touched everyone who met him. Sadly, in December 2025 Max suddenly fell ill whilst playing for his beloved North East Leeds. Unfortunately within 24 hours Max had passed away.
His passion was football. In 2023 he joined the local football club, North East Leeds, and this club provided him with friends for life, something he loved every training session and every match.
The club has grown rapidly over the years, with now over 800 boys and girls playing for the club. However the club do not have a place to call home, and are constantly at risk of losing training & match facilities. Our aim is secure the long term future of the club, for the team and the community around North East Leeds, by building a 3g pitch and facility that will benefit NEL, and the local community, and most importantly, the children who, like Max, use football to build confidence, develop and find friends for life.
I am Max's Mama, Lucy Kuc and on 5th September, I, alongside over 40 inspirational women of all ages, shapes, sizes, experience and fitness levels, will be completing the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge.
This challenge goes beyond fundraising, this is about community, love, togetherness, motherhood, friendship, endurance, commitment and care. I have been overwhelmed with the amount of amazing women who have raised their hands to join me in my quest to do something, achieve something and take on Mother Nature to try and make some sense of the loss of the most beautiful soul. To do this alongside these powerhouses of humans is my honour and we ask for all your support to get us over that finish line, hand in hand, for Max and the 800 children each year who will thrive as part of this wonderful club.
All of the funds raised here will be donated to NEL Juniors, which is a UK registered Charity, helping them build a home for the future.
Thank you.
