We're still collecting donations
On the 29th March 2024 we'd raised £2,000 with 41 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 29th March 2024 we'd raised £2,000 with 41 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Ynysmeudwy AFC are a volunteer led football club that currently have 3 Senior Teams and Junior teams both boys and girls. We are an ever growing club with new juniors being recruited weekly. As a club we are looking to continue our expansion with more age groups as well as setting up a facility for the community, however due to our current facilities we are limited as to what we can offer.
Ynysmeudwy have been working tirelessly with local partners to create a wellness hub for the community. We are now in the final stages of the application process but need additional funds to support this project. This is the final piece to this project and in return we aim to offer a safe community space for the community. The Wellness Hub will be open everyday of the week offering workshops, sport activities, welsh classes and many more.
Ynysmeudwy Wellness Hub will host the football club but also offer a wide variety of other activities. The money raised will be used to drive this project forward into the next phase. These funds will be used to cover costs we encounter when enhancing our current facilities. This will include some costs towards surveys we need as well as towards our new facility which will include new changing rooms, disabled access and improving our kitchen facilities. We would also like to offer bike racks and storage to support our plan to go green.
This project has many wider impacts! Ynysmeudwy is a very deprived area with limited offering to the community. We will be providing a space for the community that Ynysmeudwy is currently lacking. For example youth clubs, veterans hub, food bank, toy collections, sporting groups as well as other classes/sessions. Mental health support groups, workshops and many more. We have received lots of support from Boys and Girls Club, Council, Youth Service, FAW and have multiple letters of support from local groups that would love to use the facility. On top of this we have over 200+ surveys from the community who have shown how beneficial the Wellness Hub will be for the local community.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
