So a while back I had an idea inspired by our beloved Jenna, Lion and their beloved gym. I wanted to do something to celebrate not only the film coming out, but the communities that inspired the characters creation, and the people that give actors who were once kids like me the opportunity to safely be themselves. This is when I came across the wonderful Kiyan Prince Foundation. After Kiyan tragically lost his life after being stabbed in the heart in May 2006 while peacefully intervening in a fight outside his school at just 15 - his incredible father Mark Prince put all his energy into change. Setting up a gym in London, that encourages kids to learn, look after each-other and put their energy into something positive. Much like Jenna and Lion do in Your fault. After enlisting the help of some of my most talented friends - the gorgeous photographer Sophie Williams and artist Abi Mcgourley. The idea really started coming together. We decided to create a poster like painting to commemorate the film. After hearing what we were up to, I decided to reach out to the Kiyan Prince foundation. Who have been nothing but beautiful and supportive. After the excitement of getting Mark and the teams blessing. We had no other option but to make this epic! And isn’t she just! With the gorgeous stills took by the incredible Soph on set, we started brainstorming ideas and set ups for how the final image should look. Ultimately landing on an old school movie poster vibe. Abi got to work instantly drawing and mapping out the final thing, while me and Soph worked behind the scenes pulling all our resources and getting the legal a ok’s! The incredibly talented Abi got to work instantly giving her all. Spending 14 hours a day at the easel for 7 days straight. Without them none of this would be possible - so go and give them both a cheeky follow while you’re at it! @mcgourlayart + @sophiewilliam_s Now for the most exciting part! One of you will be taking this beauty home! All proceeds will go to the Kiyan Prince Foundation. T’s + C’s!!! This prize draw is open to 18+ UK residents only! ALL donations will be going directly to the KPF. We want to make this draw as accessible as possible, £2 is really kind enough.
