The project will provide warm and safe clubs and activities to young people in our community throughout the week.
Canvey Youth Project (CYP Yellow Door) works with disadvantaged young people between 11 and 25. We aim to help them by offering a range of services and activities focusing on young people’s health and well-being. The services include one-to-one advice, information, and support. Counselling and Mentoring. Small well-being groups for social skills and anxiety. Activities include a performing arts group, a youth club, a youth group for quieter young people and a sports club. We also work with young people through detached and outreach work and offer educational workshops on substance misuse issues. All of services and activities are free.

We support hundreds of young people every year helping them to develop the knowledge, life skills and confidence needed to make informed choices and to manage their sometimes very challenging life circumstances. In so doing, helping them achieve their full potential in education, employment, family life and society.

We are crowd funding to help us pay for the increase in heating and lighting costs due to the cost of living crisis and to provide hot food and snack to the young people who attend our Youth Hub throughout the week. This will ensure young people will continue to have access to a free, warm space to develop skills and have fun.

The money we raise will be spent on keeping our clubs and activities warm and lite and to provide hot food and snacks to the young people who attend the Youth Hub.
