Help Transform Yardley Primary School!

With growing demand for primary education in our borough, Yardley Primary School has expanded its classrooms to meet the needs of our community. Thus, Yardley PTA is committed to enhancing the school’s facilities, ensuring that our children have an exceptional learning environment. The PTA is working hard to revamp our library, create a sensory playground for Early Years, and develop an Outdoor Learning Space with a Kitchen Garden Club. Every contribution will help us build an inspiring, inclusive environment where all our students can thrive!

New Library: A Space to Inspire Readers

Our library is in urgent need of a transformation. Right now, books are stored in plastic boxes, making it difficult for children to explore and engage with them. We’re aiming to create a welcoming space that encourages a love of reading, with cosy reading nooks and organised shelves. In collaboration with Beth Ivy, a  interior designer and volunteer, we’ve developed a tranquil, nature-inspired design, drawing from Epping Forest’s natural beauty to make the space inclusive, especially for SEND students. The project costs £21,000.

Early Years Playground: A Place to Play and Grow

Currently, the  early years playground space primarily features a slide. Our vision is to transform it into a space that inspires creativity, exploration, and hands-on learning. We plan to introduce a mud kitchen, balance stands, and a small garden to give our youngest learners a rich, outdoor experience. This project costs just £5,500 and will provide a safe, engaging space for children to develop and thrive.

Gardening Club & Outdoor Learning: Bringing Nature to the Classroom

The school possess an outstanding and underutilised outdoor space. By restoring the kitchen garden and integrating outdoor learning into our curriculum, we will offer students invaluable hands-on experiences. Outdoor learning promotes creativity, emotional well-being, and environmental awareness—providing fun, educational experiences in nature.

Natural Escape has designed a year-round Outdoor Learning Project for Yardley, with a total cost of £50,000. The Kitchen Garden Club will cost  just £30 per child per year.

We Need Your Support!

The total cost for our new outdoor learning area, new playground for the early years, kitchen garden, revamped library, and milestone wall comes to around £185 per child, which breaks down to just £15 per month—about the cost of two breakfasts at your favourite Coffee Shop. By contributing, you’ll be helping to create lasting infrastructure that will enrich your child’s school experience and benefit future students for years to come. If you can, please consider setting up a regular donation
