We’re raising funds to install a high-quality artificial turf pitch that will give our players — and the wider community — a safe, reliable, and inspiring place to play all year round.
For the last few years, Yakaar Football has been running programs that use football to build hope, character, and community among young people in Senegal but our pitch is dusty and uneven, and when it rains, it becomes muddy and unplayable.
Now, we have an opportunity to take a huge step forward. We want to install a high-quality artificial turf pitch that will give our players a safe, reliable, and quality playing surface all year round. This pitch will become the heart of Yakaar Football — a place where hundreds of young people can train, learn, and grow in a safe and supportive environment.
But this isn’t just about football. The new pitch will be open to the wider community, giving local schools, youth groups, and neighbourhood teams a space to gather, play, and connect. It will allow us to expand our programs, host community tournaments, run training camps, and welcome visiting teams from around the world.
Every donation — big or small — will bring us one step closer to transforming our dusty pitch into a space that will bless hundreds of young people for years to come.
