Aim
We organise an annual Christmas Dip at Lisfannon Beach, to raise funds for charities that support people through difficult times.
We organise an annual Christmas Dip at Lisfannon Beach, bringing together family, friends and the wider community to raise funds for charities that support people through difficult times.
The event has grown year on year and remains focused on community spirit, inclusivity and practical support. After the dip, participants are welcomed back with soup, tea, coffee and warm refreshments.
This year, we are raising funds for three charities, with all money raised split equally between them. Old Library Trust (supporting families through the Deeds project following an Dementia diagnosis), Cairde Nellie (relieving financial hardship by providing grants to couples in the North-West of Ireland undergoing fertility treatment), and Unbroken Thread, a new charity being established in memory of Darren Coyle, which will provide practical and financial support to families who have lost someone to suicide.
Everyone is welcome to take part or support the event in any way.
