We tell the story of the women of the Manson Family Cult the weeks before the famous murders began. Utilising the music of Fleetwood Mac.
X:1969 was initially written and performed as part of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland's MAMT new musical development course. Our story follows the women of the Manson Family cult and what lead some of them to commit the infamous Tate-LaBianca murders. The score of X:1969 features the musical catalogue of Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.
X:1969 is being produced by Neon Diamond Theatre Ltd and will be performed for a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022 at the Thistle Theatre, Greenside.
Our company prides ourselves on being an international, female identifying creative team, with creatives hailing from Canada (Alberta and Ontario), USA, England, and Scotland. As a company, we are funding ourselves to be able to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which proves to be incredibly expensive! We began our funding journey in February and are proud to say that with the generosity of our friends and family, we were able to reach our target for the venue fee! Thank you so much to all who donated. We are opening up another round of funding to hopefully be able to finance expenses such as:
Fringe Fees.
Rehearsal spaces.
Marketing expenses.
Payment for actors and musicians.
As artists from across the globe, we have been diligently working to create a show we are proud to produce and present to an audience. We are hopeful that the Edinburgh Fringe Festival is just the beginning of our show taking the stage. We hope to tour Fringe Festivals across the globe to present our story to a wide range of audiences. But we need your help! Any support would be greatly appreciated. This Go Fund Me will be donations in GBP. We have a separate page for donations in CAD.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support. We are so appreciative of our community.
