Winter is hardest for those who are vulnerable. Refugees and asylum seekers urgently need your help to stay warm and well fed this winter
Wycombe Refugee Partnership aims to rebuild lives and renew hope for refugees and asylum seekers in and around the High Wycombe area. This year, our organisation has increased our reach by around 60%, helping more people with a range of wraparound services.
Refugees and asylum seekers around High Wycombe need your kind donations.
By donating to the Winter Ready Appeal, you can help fund supermarket vouchers for families on limited Home Office allowance and who are not yet allowed to work.
Every family has different needs, there is no one size fits all approach so we would like to give a modest supermarket voucher to each selected household. For some, the voucher will go towards extra hearty food to fuel families for the winter months, for others it might be spent on winter clothes or extra bedding to keep everyone warm. The giving of a voucher gives dignity of choice for each particular household and their particular needs.
Today, you could make a significant difference to those trying to stay warm this winter.
Asylum seekers receive a weekly allowance of £49.18 to cover food, toiletries, cleaning products, clothing and footwear, phone SIM deal (required for Home Office contact) and any ad-hoc purchases such as over the counter medicines. Could you live on this during our national cost of living crisis?
By offering a small contribution through a supermarket voucher, you can make a BIG difference to asylum seekers in our community.
Thank you for considering giving to this fund and joining in with supporting and welcoming those who feel very much on the outside of our community this winter.
