Aim: Come on a dramatised City walking tour of the East India Company with Elizabeth 1st, Shakespeare, Emperor Jehangir , Robert Clive and others

About A London Lark Rising a walking tour play

Dr. Anu Kumar  has teamed up with Lisa Honan CBE to present  a dramatised walking tour in the City of London   to reveal the history  of The East India Company in London from 1599 onwards. A cast of historical characters  re-enact the rise of the Company  at the spots where events took place,  accompanied by Lisa, an experienced guide.

We will also be leaving video clips on QR codes so that visitors who want to visit sites later  can.

Rich Mix Theatre will be holding an event to celebrate the project for us.

The guided walk / dramatised tour will firstly be in the City but we are also working on setting up the project in other parts of London and the country. We are always interested in hearing about people who want to tag a history of the East India Company or British Colonialism onto our project.

Lisa Honan CBE is fascinated with the East India Company after having been Governor of St Helena.  The intriguing island was run by The East India Company for 200 years. Lisa has passionate insight into this story.

Anu Kumar is a playwright and doctor. Her heritage is from India and she lives in London. More about Anu can be found here:

We will invite as many donors as possible to come on the tour as guests once we get going and hopefully make it a self financing project
