My dream is to carve out a niche in the luxury silk scarf market, for sustainable, ethically produced and cruelty free silk scarves.
for most of my working life I have taught art to school children, although I enjoyed this job, my dream was always to use my talents and work for myself. During my maternity leave period after having my second little boy, I set about making this dream a reality. I set up Love Jennr.

We use only sustainable fabrics that are ethically produced and cruelty free.
On first setting out to print my designs on silk, I learned quickly how cruel the process of making silk is and was determined to find an alternative to print my designs on to. This would become Love Jennr's USP.
My designs are first hand drawn and then digitally manipulated to create original, whimsical designs. The silk I use is 100% organic Peace silk; a type of silk that does not harm the silk worm in the manufacturing process. You can read more about the Peace silk I use here: PEACE SILK

Right now I have come to a bit of a stand still. I want to grow my business, by printing a substantial amount of new designs and getting them out there on a larger scale. To do this, I would need to purchase a minimum of 50 metres of Peace silk ( the print company I use will not accept less than 50 metres), the silk I use costs me 39 euros per metre and when you add on printing costs alone = very expensive! I also would like to have my work professionally photographed in order to help pitch my product to magazines and big department stores, attend trade fares and get professional help tweaking my website to boost my SEO.
Trying to establish my brand around caring for a small baby, takes time and 'baby steps' (excuse the pun) and as I quickly realised, a lot more money than I'd first imagined.
£5000 would enable me to achieve all of the above. I am desperate to SHOUT about my product and make my mark in the growing sustainable and fair fashion movement, can you help me with the boost my business needs to make people HEAR me!
Thanks for reading,
Jenna
