Challenge yourself to reach a ‘10’ themed target to celebrate WRP’s 10th Birthday!
We came together in 2015 in response to escalations in the Middle East region and the Syrian refugee resettlement scheme offered by the UK government. We wanted to welcome and support refugees from Syria here in High Wycombe. From many different backgrounds in the community, we became a movement, calling ourselves Acting Together with Loving Kindness. When we eventually registered as a charity in July 2016, the name was changed to Wycombe Refugee Partnership (WRP).
Today, WRP’s primary purpose is to rebuild lives and renew hope for refugees and asylum seekers of all nationalities in and around High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
For refugees, our main aim is to promote self-sufficiency and the re-establishment of lives and livelihoods. For asylum seekers, who are legally allowed in the UK but normally without the right to work, our main aim is to relieve them of some of the financial and social turmoil endured when fleeing from unimaginable hardship.
For our 10th Birthday, we want to encourage our community of supporters to join us in our exclusive WRP 10 for 10 challenge! Between May and June, challenge yourself to a 10 themed target.
Whether that’s a fitness challenge where you run, walk, cycle or swim 10k, or complete 10 walks in 10 weeks! Pick a challenge that suits you.
How about something a little different? Put your skills to the test. Maybe you’re green fingered passion could plant 10 new flowers in your garden, or you could knit or crochet 10 hats and gloves to share or sell to your friends.

We know times are tough and we want to make this challenge accessible for everyone. If you complete a 10-for-10 challenge, please donate £10 to this page! Or, if you can, consider setting up your own fundraiser to share amongst family and friends.
We’d love to see what you’ve all been up to and share your support with our wonderful community! Please send in your photos and ideas to [email protected] so we can share your progress on our social media and in our quarterly newsletter.
