Aim
To provide parent & toddler groups in deprived areas, allowing parents to socialise while providing sessions to stimulate child development
Who are we?
Wriggles & Giggle community groups will provide an opportunity for parents to socialise with other parents in the community to help parents who may feel alone if they are home with a young child all day. They will also be delivered to a high standard covering learning outcomes for the young children to aid their development.
How will we do this?
Primarily through messy play sessions as this has been in high demand in the area children will develop their language and social skills, providing them with new experiences and interactions they may not be getting elsewhere. Other sessions available include music & movement sessions, arts & craft sessions and themed sessions. All these skills will be beneficial to them once they do eventually start nursery or school.
What is the future for Wriggles & Giggles?
Hopefully to turn this into a franchise covering many areas all over the UK, we have already got plans for mascots & merchandise that can be purchased. Ultimately the end goal for this project is to run Parent & Toddler groups which can run alongside residential villages or assisted living complexes where children and older generations can partake in intergenerational activities which have proved to be extremely beneficial to both groups.
How will money raised be spent?
Money raised will be used to purchase the equipment needed to start up these community groups (toys, paints, messy trays etc) it will also cover the first few weeks room hire while the company gets established.
