Aim
We aim to bring WOW to Scotland starting with a Scotland-wide bold, fun and fearless multi-artform festival in autumn 2023.
Raw Material Arts plan to deliver a Scotland wide Women of the World Festival in autumn 2023 and beyond.
Women of the World founded by Jude Kelly at the Southbank Centre, in 2010, has since taken place annually, celebrating women and girls across the globe at over 100 festivals, across six continents, reaching more than three million people.
Through festivals, events and school programmes, WOW challenges the belief that gender equality has already been achieved – taking a frank look at the obstacles women, girls and trans-gender people face, helping join the dots between people, movements and ideas that change the world.
In partnership and collaboration with local authorities, organisations, artists and agencies - AND YOU! - WOW Scotland will be a joyous multi artform festival of events, celebrating and exploring the challenges and opportunities facing women in Scotland today.
