Worthing Mencap would use the money to provide specialist information, advice and support to people with learning disabilities.
Worthing Mencap provides a variety of services, activities and support for people with learning disabilities, their carers and families.
Our Buddys Social Hub is open 6 days a week, it is a friendly, welcoming community space that is open to everyone so that people with learning disabilities are not left isolated and vulnerable.
At the Social Hub we run information and advice drop-ins to help people with learning disabilities maintain their independence, safety and wellbeing while living in the local community.
There is always a member of staff on hand with the expertise to help with issues ranging from benefits queries, budgeting, housing issues, correspondence, accessing health services and much more!
Our team have the skills and experience to provide tailored support to meet the individual needs of the person.
With the rise in the cost of living it is so important that our clients are receiving the benefits they are entitled to and that they know what help is available from the government.
We have noticed an increased demand for our services during these difficult times and the money raised will be used towards our staffing costs to maintain these essential services and support.
