Aim

To engage more people by improving accessibility and communications and to promote the Lincoln Indoor Bowls Club as a community asset.

At 7am on Friday 14th April, six club members will bravely attempt to bowl in a match for 62 hours to break the current World Record!

Three Teams of Two will compete with every bowl and every shot logged throughout the duration of the attempt!

Lisa Devin and Stand Day, Andy Sellars and Dean Morley, and husband and wife pair Paul and Collette Fawcett will be the teams going all out to break a record currently held by Sleaford IBC standing at 60 hours 2 minutes.

Their efforts require careful planning and ongoing monitoring and recording in order to qualify them as an official World Record. This will mean the support of a wider team drawn from the membership and management team from the centre who will all give of their time for free to the project.

If the teams are all still standing by 9pm on Sunday 17th April they will have completed 62 continuous hours.

The team would welcome sponsors from club members and the wider community in support of their efforts. All funds raised will contribute to the Club's ulitimate aim to raise £20,000 to enable accessibilty improvements and a revolutionary communication system to better promote it's standing as a community club and encourage participation in it's activities.

In addition, a contribution will be made to the Crohn's and Colitis charity to which one of the participants has a close affinity.

The BBC's LOOK NORTH programme will be visiting the Club on Friday 14th April during the day to find out more about the teams and their efforts as well as club and it's aspirations. You may wish to visit us to get involved and help inspire the team's efforts!

Contributions in recognition of their efforts can be made online here or logged at the club in cash.

PLEASE HELP IN ANY WAY YOU CAN - THANK YOU
