World Championship Dreams for Welsh Dance Team

Cheering and Championing Women Across The World

A team of inspiring ladies aged 16-40, from students and nurses to small business owners and busy mums, took the first National competition by DC12 by storm in the Celtic Manor ICC, becoming Grand Champions and winning a bid to represent the UK in the Allstar World Cheerleading Championships series in Universal Studios Florida!!

After 3 years waiting to compete after Cheer Competitions were cancelled as COVID changed the world, their new costumes and Pom Poms have been wrapped up tight waiting for this moment.

All through lockdown the ladies trained virtually continuing to prepare for that magic moment to get back on the floor when the world unlocked.

Fenix is more than just a dance team - it is a family. Lockdown was tough for everyone in so many ways. Virtually they supported each other through this really tough time, juggling studies, working from home, home schooling and running businesses - they got through it together!!

April 2022 - IT WAS TIME to take to the floor and show everyone “THE GREATEST SHOW” they had worked and trained so hard for 3 years for……….

Led by an incredible team of coaches who work so hard for the team and do it all just for the love of cheerleading and the cheer family, they are also juggling full time jobs and being incredible mummies. The team placed 1st, and not just in their category, they achieved the highest score in all the Pom dance categories at the competition which meant they have the opportunity to represent the UK in the prestigious Allstar World Championships series in the USA.

The team were left overwhelmed, proud and excited for the opportunity to compete in the Allstar World Championships, they can’t wait to show the world and inspire other ladies to follow their dreams and passions.

Cheerleading is in an incredible sport for everyone promoting support, team work, hard work, dedication, high performing skills, jumps, tumbling and athleticism. It gives you an incredible family and support network, combined with skills that you learn and use for life.

The team are so excited to have this incredible opportunity to spread cheer and leave a legacy for the team and for Wales, and with the determination of fulfilling their forever dream of bringing a Allstar World Champion Ring back to Wales!

The team are working as a team to raise funds to make sure the whole team can access additional training in order to prepare for the competition, kit & equipment needed to train & compete, also travel expenses to get to the competition
