Words for Gaza is a grassroots movement of literary event organisers, poets, writers, and book workers based in the southwest of England. Our mission is to harness the power of language to raise awareness and funds for the people of Palestine and champion their voices.
We stand for the right of all Palestinians to live in freedom and peace, which is why we're gathering with prominent authors, poets and speakers from Southwest England and Wales to raise funds for those suffering in Palestine and celebrate their writers.
This October, at the Malcolm X Community Centre, our speakers will read poetry and prose, and a play written by Palestinian schoolchildren will be performed by our partners, The Bristol Palestine Alliance.
All profits from this event will be donated to Medical Aid for Palestinians and will help Palestinian families reach safety.
We need your help raising £450 to host our readers and audience at the incredible Malcolm X Centre and to support the event by spreading the word through a suite of printed materials.
Will you help us reach our objective to put on this important event?
Full disclosure: As this event has many moving parts, we may need to solicit additional donations in the future.
We appreciate your support!
