Brighton's Wood Recycling Project has opened outside Lewes. We are seeking funds to buy a van and to support unemployed trainees at Ringmer.
New Van and New Premises
The Woodstore is looking to raise funds fast as one of our vans is at the end of its life and we simply don’t have the reserves to replace it!
This comes at the same time as having opened a satellite Woodstore in Lewes District at Clay Hill near Ringmer. We are looking to raise funds both to keep a van on the road to collect waste wood all around the district and to welcome trainees from the locality. Trainees will help run the store, learn collection and retail skills and get the chance to learn joinery in the small workshop we are developing at the Ringmer premises.

The Woodstore is well known for its attractive wooden items made out of recycled wood. We are able to offer a range of generic items and also manufacture bespoke items at a great price.

Trainees learn new skills and gain confidence with us opening up opportunities for the future. We take on quite a few trainees each year as paid employees and others go on to work elsewhere or attend college to continue to develop the skills they have learned with us.

How we’ll spend the money raised
We will be using the funds raised to buy a new vehicle and to pay expenses to trainees who come to work with us in Lewes. As you might imagine, even a second hand van is very expensive so we are running this Crowdfunder and will be looking elsewhere for funds too.
