To improve and enhance positive well-being for disadvantaged adults overcoming poor mental health, poverty, isolation and low self-esteem.
WinG Outdoor Activities can trace its roots back to the 1980's when it was established by Gateshead Council. Fast forward to 2023 and after many challenges, not least the banking crisis cutting funds for local authorities to the pandemic of 2020 we are still going. We provide a range of stimulating outdoor well-being activities to adults in need. What sort of need? People who are sick of their lives, don't or can't afford to get out, perhaps turned to substances that aren't ideal, perhaps self-harmed or attempted suicide or just really struggle with the challenges of life. This is where WinG Outdoor Activities can help. We take people out in nature and provide much needed therapeutic help. We transport them in our minibus, we give them the tools, resources and outdoor equipment. We do this in small friendly groups of 8 and mix and chat on the way. We really do help people with their minds as well as their body. Our Woodland Well-Being project is just the space to help people find solace and improve themselves through nature. We have a woodland space to garden, craft, cook, and relax in. All of this comes with costs that's why we are trying to get some modest funds together to help people. Please help with a donation of any size, if we get to our target we and you will be helping people grow and blossom, just like our woodland. Invest in people and you invest in nature. Thank you for reading this. WinG Outdoor Activities
