Woodbank Cricket Club Changing Room Modernisation

Aim

We are looking to refurb/repair our changing rooms. They are used by all age groups both male and female and are in dire need of attention

Who are we?

We are a local cricket club that was founded 1935, the club does hosts other sports such as rounders along with various community groups and events. We feel we are a club that has the community at heart.  

Why are we crowdfunding?

The present building is in need of significant repair, there are numerous leaks from the roof into cavities and from the bathroom units. The whole building is required a full refit.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The changing rooms will be modernised to meet today's standards. This will include ensuring the building is back to being watertight, therefore preventing all the present leaks, which have destroyed both wall structures and bathroom facilities including showers. 

There will be a total refit with the new wall linings installed, ceiling s renewed new floor coverings, toilet facilities, showers and a full rewire. 

Community impact

The facilities at Woodbank CC are utilised by various members of the community. These not only include the playing of cricket at various levels of cricket, including male and female teams and juniors teams. The use of the facilities are utilised by the neighboring school, community groups such as a baby sensory group and a rounders team . 

One of the biggest impacts on the local community is the use of Woodbanks  facilities for relief car parking. This elevates traffic congestion on the local area making the area safer during school time.
