To open a Wood Workshop for disadvantaged young people with SEND.
Having been educated through Alternative Provision in my youth, I'm passionate about providing opportunities for disadvantaged young people who may be on the peripheries of society. Sadly not all children enjoy a supportive and loving home life or have the social and emotional skills of their peers. These children often find themselves cast adrift and vulnerable to other negative influences, something made clear by the rapid rise of "County Lines" a skilful and manipulative programme where gangs use children for trafficking of drugs and other illegal activities. Wood Monkey Workshop believes every child has the right to a productive and happy life. By offering a safe environment where children can gain social and practical skills along with a sense of pride and self worth through achievement, we can help build the starting blocks for a path to that life that they so truly deserve.
