we’re launching this fundraising campaign to raise £12,000 to secure a premises with three dedicated spaces

by Won Connect CIC in Glasgow, Glasgow City, United Kingdom

At Won Connect CIC, we believe in the power of connection and community. For years, we’ve been empowering individuals in Glasgow through digital skills training, workshops, and social inclusion activities. However, we’ve hit a roadblock: we don’t have a permanent home.

We’re currently relying on libraries and community centres, which limits our ability to serve our community effectively. We’re losing contracts, clients, and opportunities because we lack a dedicated space where people can come to us, feel supported, and thrive.

That’s why we’re launching this fundraising campaign to raise £12,000 to secure a premises with three dedicated spaces:

Office Space: For our team to work and meet clients.

Training Space: For digital skills training, workshops, and one-to-one sessions.

Event Space: For community gatherings, social inclusion activities, and events.

This space will be a hub of hope, learning, and connection for everyone in our community, especially the elderly and those who feel left behind in today’s digital world.

Why We Need Your Help

To make this vision a reality, we need to cover the following costs:

  • One Year’s Rent: £6,000

  • Utilities: £2,000

  • Equipment:

    • 10 Laptops: £2,000

    • Printer: £100

    • Chairs and Tables: £200

    • Cups and Glasses: £100

    • Projector: £200

  • Reserve Fund: £1,400 (for unexpected expenses)

Our Plan for the Space

Digital Skills Training: Free and paid classes to help people gain essential digital skills.

Accredited Courses: We want to offer accredited courses

Workshops and Activities: Gardening, cooking, and other life skills classes to bring people together.

Social Inclusion Programs: Activities designed to reduce loneliness and build connections, especially for the elderly.

Small Print Shop: A service to generate income and provide printing solutions for the community.

Technology Sales: Selling affordable tech products to support digital inclusion.

Website Design and Maintenance: Expanding our services to help local businesses and organizations thrive online.
