Woking Town Football Club Community 3G Project

Aim

Build a 3G Football Pitch to be used by Local Grass Football Clubs & Schools in the Community at affordable prices and available for all

Who are we?

•WTFC is a Charitable Grass Roots Community Club based in the Woking Borough established in 1977. 

•Woking Town Football Club consisted of 40 teams and 500+ players across the U5 to U18 age groups and 47 volunteers 

•The club’s philosophy is we help everyone play football; we have an active benevolent fund that supports over 30 families in the Woking region

Why are we crowdfunding?

All the 3G facilities in Woking are on existing school sites and are not available to other schools or local communities during the day

The Funding and cost makes them prohibitively expensive for local State Schools outside the facility to use them for games some travelling significant distances to play afternoon games.

Existing 3G facilities are not available to local families and sports groups for active use at affordable price

We have received a 30 year lease from Woking Borough Council and planning permission to build a 3G facility for local schools and grass root clubs .

We have raised £300,000 and are looking to raise £334,000 to complete the project.

Building is targeted  to start in October 2026

How we’ll spend the money raised

All the proceeds will be used to build the 3G pitch at Westfield through professional contractors. costing is provided below. 

Community impact

The Facility will be used as a community club across Woking and allow access at all times of the day. It will provide walking football, disability football , youth football , Surrey Police Youth Support,  support local state schools and provide facilities for local grass root football
