Help WMCC relocate and continue to cultivate a community hub for Birmingham-based creatives.
The West Midlands Circus Centre has made its home in Digbeth, Birmingham for the last 10 years, and it's been an incredible journey so far.
In that time, we've installed a dance floor, dance mirrors, an aerial rig, and LOTS of aerial equipment - and we've created a full programme of circus arts, from babies right up to grandparents!
We have worked so hard, and been so lucky, to cultivate a community of diverse, talented and passionate individuals in this space.
However, at the end of the month, WMCC needs to relocate.
There are a number of reasons for this:
The roads leading into the area have been permanently closed - some of those to pedestrians, too
It's dimly lit, making pathways and walkways difficult to navigate
We're inside the Clean Air Zone, which places financial restrictions on people coming to class
And a whole host of other reasons beyond our control, because they are changes within the city itself.
For us, inclusivity and accessibility is key, but we're just not able to deliver the accessible programme that we would like to, or foster the sense of safety that we believe is so vital, in our current location.
It's not all bad, though! We've been on the hunt for a new space for a number of years, and now we think we've finally found the perfect place!

From our new location, the Quaker Meeting House in Edgbaston, we will be able to offer the sort of fully inclusive and accessible programme we're so keen to bring to fruition! Disability classes, classes for tiny ones, and families - together.

And there's even a small ground with trees and greenery! Perfect for unwinding and creating a really nice, welcoming feel as a community hub.
We don't want this space to just be about circus, but act as a true Third Place - somewhere for creatives of all disciplines, backgrounds and abilities to get together, express themselves and form meaningful connections with both the arts and each other.
Whether it's yoga, theatre, dance, circus or community outreach: we really do want this, our new home, to be the centre of activity for Birmingham-based folks.
But moving a circus centre is an expensive venture. Which is why we need your help!
In order to move and get safely set up in our new location, we need to raise at least £5,000.
We know that sounds like a scary figure - but we also know that the WMCC community is vast, caring and tenacious.
We appreciate your support so much, which is why we've been working with local, Birmingham based artists to create some limited edition, amazing rewards in exchange for your pledges.
That means you'll get some awesome merch and perks, as well as that warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with knowing that you've helped out a community organisation. Not only that, you'll be supporting us in creating new, open and welcoming.
So, take a look at our different tiers and please consider pledging if you are able to. If not, please share this page far and wide with whoever you can! Every little helps.
With deep gratitude and tentative excitement!
