Mission accomplished.

I wasn't sure I'd make the start line, let alone the finish line but we both got there in the end.

It was a great occasion and I was more than happy to finish it in 2.25.38, finishing 23,651st (out of ~60,000). 

More importantly we're only £30 shy of £1,000 raised for Alzheimer's Research UK which is absolutely amazing and worth every ache and pain this week. In fact with Gift Aid, it's almost £1,200.

So thank you so much for supporting me. Your donation is going towards a really important cause.

Evening,

They confirmed earlier on that Sunday's run will go ahead so I'm stuffing my bag with plasters, Deep Heat and porridge pots for the trip north. Thank you to everyone who has pledged their support. I'm overwhelmed by all the donations and I will thank you all directly when the dust has settled. Preparations have been far from ideal but it's too late now anyway. We're determined to enjoy it and I'll get over the finish line, one way or another. Promise!
