We need £3,000 for a new sound system. This project is showing as funded due to passing the timeframe, but we still very much need donations
The Story
Heron Hall isn’t just a place. It’s where neighbours become friends, where laughter carries across the room on quiz night, and where shared moments turn into lasting memories.
It’s the finish line for runners at the Storth Stampede, the hum of conversation at the Beer Festival, and the excited energy of children weaving between stalls at the Village Fete. It’s where celebrations begin, milestones are marked, and the community comes together — again and again.
But right now, something simple is getting in the way of all of that.
The hall’s sound system — relied on for years — is no longer doing its job. Announcements fade or disappear. Voices crackle or can’t be heard at all. Important moments are missed, and events lose some of the clarity and connection that bring people together in the first place.
It’s not about technology for its own sake. It’s about making sure everyone can hear, take part, and feel included.
The Ask
We’re raising £3,000 to install a reliable, high-quality sound system for Heron Hall.
This will include everything needed to support the full range of activities the hall hosts — speakers, microphones, mixing equipment and installation — sourced locally to ensure it’s right for the space and built to last.
Every pound will go directly towards creating a system that works, consistently and for years to come.
Why It Matters
A clear, dependable sound system changes how the hall works for everyone:
This isn’t just an upgrade. It’s about protecting what the hall represents: a shared space that belongs to the whole community.
What You Get
There are a range of optional thank-you rewards for those who wish to take part — from small gestures to more personal acknowledgements.
But at its heart, this isn’t about rewards. It’s about contributing to something that everyone can use, enjoy, and benefit from.
Thank You
Whether it’s £5, £50, or simply sharing this page, every contribution helps bring the hall back to life in the way it deserves.
Heron Hall is part of the fabric of Storth — shaped by the people who use it, and sustained by the people who care about it.
If you’ve ever been to an event here, plan to in the future, or simply value having a place like this in the community, this is your chance to be part of keeping it going.
Together, we can make sure every voice is heard.
