Target reached!

Offer more hot meals during the weekend for those in need

Aim

Help support families who are faced with unprecedented rises in the cost of living

Families within the Orthodox Jewish community are typically large (average of 6-8 children).

We work with families living in the Kersal area.
Deprivation especially health places it in the bottom 1% and child poverty in the bottom 2%.
Kosher food has a 30 – 40% higher cost.

Moor Lane Youth Club offer those in need -  primary school & teenagers and their family support during the cost-of-living crisis.

We need help from the community to maintain vital existing services in the face of rising energy costs as our community center building is open during evenings & weekends as a warm space.

This project will reduce the disadvantage facing people on low incomes and help them to reach their potential despite the challenges they experience.  This project will offer a welcoming and warm space to connect, share news, support each other, and make the community stronger, in order to face the crisis together.

The hot meals will also alleviate some of the expenditure for each family.
