Aim

To manage the cost of living crisis, so we can help refugees and people seeking asylum to develop skills to budget and manage a tenancy

We are a small West Yorkshire charity providing temporary, supported housing to refugees and people seeking asylum. We want to provide a welcoming environment to people seeking refuge in our country. At any one time supporting over 90 people in the Leeds and Bradford areas.  We support the people living with us in the case of refugees  until they have secured long term accommodation usually  a social housing tenancy and in the case of people seeking asylum until their case is  being reconsidered. We hope that all the people we work with are able to successfully move on with their lives after the traumatic experiences that led to them becoming refugees in the first place, to build a new life in Britain and make a positive contribution to our society.

We plan to develop our work further and to use the funds raised through this project to coordinate activities which will help people develop  skills to manage a social housing tenancy after they leave us, with a particular focus on reducing energy consumption, budgeting skills and promoting independence.
