Windsor U13 - Rugby Tour Fundraising

Aim
Windsor U13's are looking to go the extra mile (literally!) to raise money for our U13 end of season tour to the South Coast Rugby Festival!
Who are we?
We are the Windsor U13 rugby team, a friendly and inclusive squad made up of boys (and parents) from a wide range of surrounding areas, schools and social circles. We pride ourselves on offering access to rugby for all levels of experience and aim to have a happy, healthy and diverse squad - who love to play rugby every week.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We are crowdfunding to help organise and fund an end of season tour for as many of the U13 rugby squad as possible, having entered two teams in the South Coast Festival of Rugby.
The boys are taking on the daunting task or running from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle! Taking a marathon distance, then going that extra mile to cover 27.2 miles!
Rugby tours are an amazing opportunity for our boys to develop through rugby and squad experiences, in an environment where they are matched against a range of opposition squads from all over the country. They are also a great opportunity for them to have fun and grow together!
How we’ll spend the money raised
All money raised will go towards the travel, accommodation, logistics and kit costs for the tour, making the experience more affordable for all. For any of our players who are able to fund raise but unable to make the tour, we would love to provide them with the Tour kit as a reward for all their hard work.
Community impact
Windsor Rugby plays a vital role in the local community, attracting hundreds of boys and girls of school age every week to a diverse and inclusive club. Staffed by a large pool of parent volunteers, it provides our kids with a safe place to learn a new sport, develop critical life skills and a strong local network of like-minded friends, whilst exercising and keeping fit! The club prides itself on the strength of its inclusive mini's and youth program, which sees mixed gender and ability rugby right up to the adult age groups.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target and make this project a reality.
1. Fundraise for us and help on the day: If you are a player or a parent who would like to help us "go the extra mile", please use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. We encourage players and parents to set up a page together, and if the walk / run / cycle isn't your thing, no pressure! We are inviting all players to fund raise in a novel and inspiring way, so think of a challenge - and go for it!! We are also in need of as many player parents as possible to support the logistics and safety of players on the day, so please let the coaches know if you are able and willing to get involved.
2. Make a pledge: Don’t delay if you’re going to support us, because momentum is key to our success! Our aim is to raise as much money as we can, all of which will go directly towards the squad.
3. Spread the word: Share our project on your social media pages and tell your family, friends, work colleagues and the wider world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
4. Offer rewards: If you are a local business, you can also get involved by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We have several fund raising events coming up, all prizes (however small) are welcome, and we will certainly give you a shout out! We would also love to include sponsor businesses on our tour kit, so please reach out to us if that would be of interest!
5. Support: This is a big challenge for our boys (and parents!), so all support on the day will be gratefully received!
