The Cause
Our three day steam engine rally and country show, held in Weeting, Norfolk every July since 1968, costs a lot of money to put on, and it is our main way of carrying out the charity mission of educating everyone on all things about steam driven vehicles. We also like to give back to the local community wherever possible, creating strong community links and a lasting relationship with the local area.
We are raising funds this year, in the hope that we can hold the UK Loggers National Championship at our event in 2025. Next year will be a world qualifying round for the championship and we'd love to hold it over the weekend of our event, being able to showcase the skills used within the forestry and timber industries. We would like the competitors to be able to use 6m poles for precision felling, giving a great demonstration to the crowds of the loggers precise expertise in using a chainsaw. Holding the championship and using these poles come at an expense, hence the fundraising with this exceptional prize draw so we can add a new experience for our visitors in 2025!
If there are excess funds raised from this prize draw, we will donate more to the village community groups, supporting the local area and enhancing community relationships with the rally.
