Starry Skies festival is supporting Friends of the Earth’s #BringBackNature campaign.
Being out in nature gives a massive boost to children's physical and mental health. However, 1.6 million children under the age of 12 in the UK live in neighbourhoods deprived of green space.
To tackle this, Friends of the Earth, in partnership with The Co-operative Bank, will work to Bring Back Nature through the Postcode Gardener programme - an initiative where professional gardeners work alongside communities to transform built up areas into havens for nature and play. In addition, we will campaign to retain the UK's environmental protections, so nature is protected for generations to come.
Let's raise some money this summer and help bring back the magic of nature to every child.

Starry Skies has donated 2 adult and 3 child tickets to this summer’s festival at Kentchurch Estate, Herefordshire, which takes place between Thursday 27 July and Sunday 30 July 2023.
To be in with a chance of winning these items, we are holding a prize draw with each entry costing £2. You can enter multiple times.
Entries can be purchased between Wednesday 7 June and Wednesday 28 June. The winner will be announced before Monday 10 July 2023.
And what’s even better, The Co-operative Bank will match all funds from across the #BringBackNature prize draws up to the sum of £25,000!

This glorious hybrid between a festival and a family camping holiday, now in its 8th year, is especially designed for free-range kids and their grown-ups. Taking place in an international dark sky reserve, think star gazing, wandering lantern-lit paths through wooded glades, lush meadows, rippling wheat fields, all with a backdrop of the rolling hills of the Black Mountains.

Up for grabs are 2 adult tickets and 3 child tickets to the complete 4-day festival, which takes place between Thursday 27 July and Sunday 30 July 2023 at Kentchurch Estate, Pontrilas, Hereford, HR2 0DB.
Starry Skies Edition Eight will open at midday on 27 July and will come to an end at midday on 30 July.
Run by the same organisers as Shamabala, Starry Skies really is where the kids roam free! There’s the annual Starry Skies fancy dress disco where this year’s dress up theme is Birds of a Feather, the legendary Super Pirates play session with mad games and discos from the rag tag crew of pirate play professionals, and the return of the Forest School, which will provide the little ones with the chance to develop their confidence with nature, through hands-on learning deep in the beautiful Starry Skies woodland.

Enter now for your chance to win tickets to this award-winning summer festival, all whilst helping Friends of the Earth to #BringBackNature.

Funds raised will help support Friends of the Earth’s work to Bring Back Nature.
With your support we will work with community partners to restore greenery and wildlife through our Postcode Gardener programme, in the most nature-deprived spaces across the country. To kickstart this project, our partner, The Co-operative Bank, is matching every entry up to £25,000. The first locations will be in Birmingham, Bristol and London with more to follow.
Any funds raised in excess in £50,000 will help fund Friends of the Earth’s wider work including our campaign to strengthen the laws which protect nature and wildlife.

Founded in 1971, Friends of the Earth has been standing shoulder to shoulder with communities campaigning to protect our incredible planet for over 50 years. From stopping climate-wrecking projects to transforming built-up areas into havens for nature and play, supporters are at the centre of the movement demanding environmental justice, taking local action to create global impact.

In 1872, The Co-operative Bank was born from the co-operative movement, and co-operative values continue to be a fundamental part of everything we do.
We are the only high street bank with a customer-led Ethical Policy, which gives customers a say in how their money is used. Our customers consistently tell us that protecting the planet is their top priority, which is why we've partnered with Friends of the Earth to enable change in local communities.
We believe it’s our duty to stand up for the issues that matter to our customers, and which bind our colleagues, customers and partner organisations together. Because unlike a lot of businesses, we haven’t just developed an ethical approach - we’ve had one from the start.
Ethical then, now and always.
