Sir Paul McCartney is supporting Friends of the Earth’s #BringBackNature campaign.
Being out in nature gives a massive boost to children's physical and mental health. However, 1.6 million children under the age of 12 in the UK live in neighbourhoods deprived of green space.
To tackle this, Friends of the Earth, in partnership with The Co-operative Bank, will work to Bring Back Nature through the Postcode Gardener programme - an initiative where professional gardeners work alongside communities to transform built up areas into havens for nature and play. In addition, we will campaign to retain the UK's environmental protections, so nature is protected for generations to come.
Let's raise some money this summer and help bring back the magic of nature to every child.

Sir Paul McCartney has donated a Let It Be special edition super deluxe vinyl box-set that he’ll personally sign to our lucky winner.

Funds raised will help support Friends of the Earth’s work to Bring Back Nature.
With your support we will work with community partners to restore greenery and wildlife through our Postcode Gardener programme, in the most nature-deprived spaces across the country. To kickstart this project, our partner, The Co-operative Bank, is matching every entry up to £25,000. The first locations will be in Birmingham, Bristol and London with more to follow.
Any funds raised in excess in £50,000 will help fund Friends of the Earth’s wider work including our campaign to strengthen the laws which protect nature and wildlife.

Founded in 1971, Friends of the Earth has been standing shoulder to shoulder with communities campaigning to protect our incredible planet for over 50 years. From stopping climate-wrecking projects to transforming built-up areas into havens for nature and play, supporters are at the centre of the movement demanding environmental justice, taking local action to create global impact.

In 1872, The Co-operative Bank was born from the co-operative movement, and co-operative values continue to be a fundamental part of everything we do.
We are the only high street bank with a customer-led Ethical Policy, which gives customers a say in how their money is used. Our customers consistently tell us that protecting the planet is their top priority, which is why we've partnered with Friends of the Earth to enable change in local communities.
We believe it’s our duty to stand up for the issues that matter to our customers, and which bind our colleagues, customers and partner organisations together. Because unlike a lot of businesses, we haven’t just developed an ethical approach - we’ve had one from the start.
Ethical then, now and always.
