The Prize
Enter to win Ollie Watkins' signed shirt from AVFC's away fixture against AZ Alkmaar (26th October 2023).
The shirt is signed and is match worn (the shirt has been washed).
The shirt features the Aston Villa Foundation logo.
The shirt will come with a certificate of authenticity.
The Cause
The Foundation's Dementia Café offers people living with dementia an opportunity to engage in activities that are ultimately led by themselves, whilst offering respite for carers and family over a tea/coffee.
We deliver a variety of physical activities such as bowling, boccia, balloon tennis, table tennis and chair based exercise, as well as mental stimulation through quizzes, jigsaws and music.
We also take participants on trips and have recently visited the Black Country Living Museum to help them reminisce about days gone by. We aim to promote physical and mental wellbeing as well as providing a safe space for participants and carers alike.
Our Dementia Cafe supports people from the age of 62 all the way up to 90 years old.
About the Aston Villa Foundation
The Aston Villa Foundation is a registered charity (number 1152848) that delivers the community and social responsibility work of Aston Villa Football Club.
Working alongside key local and national stakeholders, the Foundation delivers projects, initiatives and provides opportunities to achieve its mission of ‘Working Together to Enrich Lives’.
The Foundation and its partners work with people from a variety of backgrounds in Birmingham as well as supporting the wider ‘Aston Villa family’ through several departments including schools, football in the community, disability, health and wellbeing, education, interventions and community relations.
This project successfully funded on 22nd December 2023
