The Cause
The number of children in mental health crisis has reached record levels in England. The number of school-age children being referred to child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) has undergone an “explosion” in the last three years, with a record 1.4 million children and young people seeking NHS help for mental health problems in 2022. As of 2023, around 1 in 5 children and young people aged 8 to 25 years had a probable mental disorder and these figures are expected to grow as young people still get to grips with the fallout from Covid 19.
Funds raised from this prize draw will allow us to continue our work in helping to support youth mental health through our Teamwork Project.
