The Cause
Hi, My name is Lila Skinner I am a 16 year old girl surfer who lives in Perranporth Cornwall UK. Surfing is a huge part of mine and my family’s life and I also love competing. I have recently retained my title as U16 girls national champion and I am currently ranked 2nd in the U18 British girls and 5th in the British Women’s.
I’m so pleased to announce that I’ve been selected to represent Team England to compete in the under 16 girls in the International Surfing Association (ISA) Junior Surf Championships happening in El Salvador in September 2026 and also in the Eurosurf Juniors championships in Bundoran, Ireland also in September through to October 2026. Inbetween these events I have also been given a wildcard to compete in Munich at the Rip Curl Gromsearch European Finals.
These competitions are being held in El Salvador and Bundoran, Ireland, they are two of the most prestigious global juniors events in surfing, bringing together the best junior athletes from around the world. It’s also an opportunity to represent my community, inspire young surfers especially girls and women , and grow as an athlete on an international stage!
Why I Need Your Help
Traveling to El Salvador and Ireland involves many costs, including:
- International flights
- Accommodation during the competition
- Registration and competition fees
- Insurance
- Food
The total estimated cost for both these events is approximately £3500.
