WIN a signed Manchester United Shirt
1) By entering this prize draw, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2) The promoter is Carr Gomm, a registered charity in Scotland (SC033491) with registered office at SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT.
Eligibility
3) Entry is permitted from anywhere in the world.
4) Anyone entering the prize draw accepts that in the event that they win a Prize, they are responsible for their own travel to and from the event (and that of their Guest), including complying with any visa requirements.
Entry Requirements and Entry Period
5) Paid entry to the prize draw is available via Crowdfunder.
a) Minimum entry is £5.
b) No limited to number of paid entries.
6) For free entry by post to the prize draw, see clauses 20-23.
7) The prize draw opens at 17:00 GMT on Monday 21st August 2023 and closes at 21:00 GMT on Friday 8th September 2023 20:30 GMT (the ‘Entry Period’). Any entries received after the Entry Period will not be accepted.
8) Carr Gomm is not responsible for any delays in postal delivery by Royal Mail.
The Draw and The Prize Winners
9) The draw will take place on Friday 8th September 2023 (the ‘Draw Date’).
10) Once the Entry Period is closed, each individual valid entry will be entered into the draw.
11) On the Draw Date the administrator of the draw (Carr Gomm) will use a random number generator to select one (1) Prize winner from the valid entries.
12) The first number to be drawn will win the Prize.
13) The Prize winners will be notified by email by Monday 11th September.
14) In the event that a Prize winner does not make contact with Carr Gomm to claim their Prize by Friday 29th of September, Carr Gomm will use a random number generator to generate a new Prize winner.
15) Carr Gomm’s decision as to the Prize winners is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
The Prize
16) The Prize is as follows:
- A 2022/2023 home Manchester United shirt signed by the first team squad and Manager Erik Ten Hag. Players signatures include World Cup winners Rafael Varane and Lisandro Martinez, local Manchester hero Marcus Rashford and Club Captain Bruno Fernandes. A card accompanying the shirt shows what each players signature looks like so that these can easily be identified on the shirt.
17) The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and not redeemable for cash or other prizes.
18) The winner will receive a certificate of authenticity issued by the Manchester United Foundation.
19) The receipt by the winning entrant of the Prize is conditional upon the winning entrant’s compliance with these rules. Winning entrants may be required to provide a written acknowledgement of these rules and other terms and conditions, consents or releases relating to the Prize.
Postal Entry
20) Postal entrants may enter the promotion:
a) by mailing a postcard with their full name, address and an email address to the following postal address:
Carr Gomm Prize Draw, SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT; and
b) by sending an entry within an envelope. Entries received other than in an envelope will not be accepted.
21) In the case of multiple entries received in a single envelope, only one entry will be entered into the draw.
22) Entries sent by post;
a) must be received at the relevant postal address specified for entries by the end of the Entry Period as specified in Clause 8.
b) Entries which have not been given the correct and sufficient payment for postage will be invalid and will not be considered.
23) Personal and hand delivered entries will not be accepted.
General
24) Carr Gomm shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations to the winner(s) if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Neither shall Carr Gomm be liable to the winner(s) for any loss or damage suffered in connection with this prize draw and/or the Prize, save in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence or fraud of Carr Gomm.
25) Carr Gomm reserves the right to make any reasonable amendments to these Terms and Conditions at any stage. In this event, a notice will be posted on Crowdfunder. Carr Gomm also reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so.
26) As a condition of entering the prize draw, entrants must ensure that, by doing so, they do not contravene any laws of their country of residence. Carr Gomm will not be liable in any way if any entrant enters the prize draw unlawfully.
27) Entrants may be required to participate in publicity without further consent or payment, such publicity including without limitation the entrant’s name, entry or any information provided by the entrant, including photographs and videos. This information may be used by Carr Gomm in any and all media, including but not limited to Carr Gomm’s social media platforms, in perpetuity throughout the world as Carr Gomm may decide.
28) Any personal information collected by Carr Gomm in connection with a prize draw will be used in accordance with Carr Gomm’s Privacy Policy.
29) A list of winners can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to Carr Gomm Prize Draw, SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT, together with details of the prize draw winners list you require within thirty (30) days from the Draw Date.
30) Carr Gomm will make available information indicating that a Prize has been awarded under this draw. To comply with this obligation Carr Gomm will send the surname and county of prize winners to anyone who writes to Carr Gomm Prize Draw, SPACE, 11 Harewood Road, Edinburgh, EH16 4NT (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one (1) month after the Draw Date stated in Clause 10. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact Carr Gomm at [email protected]. In such circumstances, Carr Gomm must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
31) This prize draw and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland and the courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.
