For my third and final draw, I’m delighted to offer a beautiful piece of original art — “Poppies”, a stunning painting on glass by talented Dumfries artist Evelyn Gray❣️
Evelyn discovered painting on glass while on a European arts study visit to Romania, where she learned the ancient craft by painting replicas of traditional religious icons on handmade glass found in churches and cathedrals across the country. Inspired by the intricate detail of the process, she later developed her own contemporary approach, applying paint directly onto the glass to create a striking sense of depth and light.
This special piece “poppies” was generously created by Evelyn especially for this prize draw to help me raise funds for The Eve Appeal in memory of my mum, and I’m incredibly grateful to Evelyn for her kindness and support.
